Our product engineers at Hunter Douglas Architectural took a fresh look at roller shades, taking the best from decades of experience to create the RB 500+ system. Features to solve tricky conditions, ensure smooth and quiet operation, and lift oversize shades with a wide selection of motorized options. Plus, a few hundred fabric choices.

The key feature of the RB 500+ automated roller shade system is its versatility, with components to support numerous motor types and mechanisms. Perfect for commercial applications, this modular system allows installation in a wide range of shade sizes and positions.

  • Motorization With Switch and Remote Control
    • Standard Motor with Centralized Group Control
    • AC motors raise and lower shades via a switch or remote control
  • Automation With Intelligent Control
    • Intelligent Wireless AC and DC Motors operate via radio frequency (RF) communication and can include wall switches, hand-held remotes, smartphones/tablets, or third-party control devices
    • Intelligent Wired AC and DC Motors offer a virtually unlimited number of timers, control input devices, and the highest level of third-party integration available
    • Battery operation available
  • Fascia, Fascia With Top and Back Cover
    • Aluminum fascia (standard 3" or 4") with top or back cover (standard 3"or 4") to conceal shade mechanism from front, sides, and top/back
    • Widths from 12" to 192"; heights from 12" to 240"
    • Available in anodized aluminum finish, white, vanilla, bronze, or black
    • 7" fascia available for dual shade systems only
  • Blockout With Side Channels
    • Aluminum side channels, sill channels, and RB 500 bottom bar, fitted with light-blocking wool pile to prevent light leakage around edges and bottom of shade
    • Ideal for room-darkening and A/V applications
    • Available in anodized aluminum finish or painted white, vanilla, bronze, or black
  • Reverse Roll
    • Fabric mounted to descend from the interior (rather than window-facing) side, concealing the roll and creating a more finished appearance
  • Oversized Shades
    • Special accommodations for oversized window applications available
  • Dual Shades
    • Add versatility to any space by allowing two different styles of fabrics to be used on the same window (one in front of the other)
    • An unlimited number of combinations available for different shade materials
